Commercial vehicle chassis with adjustable length
DRIVE
May 13, 2015
A commercial vehicle chassis is proposed in a longitudinally adjustable design, with on each side of the vehicle a pair of rails (11, 12) consisting of a chassis-fixed mounted upper rail (11) and a lower rail (12) arranged to be longitudinally moveable relative to the upper rail, to which at least one axle assembly (2) of the commercial vehicle is fastened, and with clamping devices (15) for clamping the upper and lower rails against one another. In order to at least reduce the rattling or clattering that frequently occurs in such commercial vehicle chassis in the area of longitudinal adjustment, each clamping device (15) comprises a pressure medium-actuated working cylinder (20) with working direction transverse to the longitudinal direction of the rail pair (11, 12).
