Roof element for rigidifying the roof of a motor vehicle

The present invention relates to a roof element, in particular an interior ceiling panel for a vehicle roof, for improving the rigidity of said roof comprising a corrugated cardboard piece (2) and at least one piece called a damping piece (3) capable of absorbing vibrations, said damping piece (3) being secured to the corrugated cardboard piece (2); said roof element is remarkable in that said corrugated cardboard piece (2) is obtained from double-wall corrugated cardboard in which is formed at least one recess (4), said damping piece (3) extending into said recess (4) such that the upper face of said damping piece (3) is flush with the upper face of the corrugated cardboard piece (2).
