The present disclosure relates to a battery charging system and a battery charging method, and the battery charging system is connected to two opposite ends of each of a plurality of batteries and includes a charger configured to supply power, a bypass device configured to rotate about a central shaft and configured to provide a power route that connects at least one of the first and second batteries to two opposite ends of the charger, and a processor configured to monitor a two-opposite-end voltage of each of the first and second batteries and control a rotation direction and a rotation angle of the bypass device.
