DRIVE
March 25, 2015
A power factor corrector (100) correcting the power factor of an alternating current (AC) voltage is disclosed. A power factor correcting unit (140) corrects the power factor of the AC voltage. A smoothing unit (150) smoothes a power factor corrected voltage and includes a film condenser (C F ) and a plurality of electrolytic condensers (C 1 ,...,C N ). A rectified voltage is applied to one end of an inductor (L 1 ). One end of a switch (SW M1 ) is connected to the other end of the inductor (L 1 ), and the other end of the switch (SW M1 ) is earthed. One end of a diode (D 15 ) is connected to one end of the switch (SW M1 ). One end of a film condenser (C F ) is connected to the other end of the diode (D 15 ), and the other end of the film condenser (C F ) is earthed. An electrolytic condenser (C 1 ,...,C N ) is parallel-connected to the film condenser (C F ).
