SINGLE-AXLE TRAILER FOR A PASSENGER VEHICLE

A single-axle trailer for a motor vehicle or similar towing vehicle can be fixed to the latter in the region of a coupling. In this case, a connection assembly having an intermediate member is provided on the trailer, which additionally defines two coupling points arranged on both sides of the longitudinal center plane of the trailer at a transverse distance from one another. The trailer has, in the region of its base frame, at least one support device which accommodates a support wheel and is displaceable about a vertical pivot axis. This support device forms, at a distance from the pivot axis defining a support bearing, at least one contact connection which interacts with the base frame in the region of a pressure part and a counter-member. The trailer improved according to the invention has, in addition to the at least one support wheel, at least one ground support arranged offset to the latter.
