A switching arrangement for a shiftable transmission (2) comprises a shift sleeve (5, 5'), which is movable between a first position in which a first idler gear (31, 32, 33, 34; 35) of the switching arrangement is rotatable relative to a shaft (3), and a second position in which it connects the first idler gear (31, 32, 33, 34; 35) in a rotationally fixed manner to the shaft (3), a friction clutch assembly (6, 6'), which is movable between a first position in which two parts (19, 20) of the friction clutch assembly (6, 6') are rotatable relative to one another, and a second position in which the two parts (19, 20) are connected by friction, and an actuating element (12) which is movable in one degree of freedom between a neutral position and a first switching position via an intermediate position. In the neutral position, the shift sleeve (5, 5') and the friction clutch assembly (6, 6') are each in their first position, in the intermediate position the shift sleeve (5, 5') is in its second position and the friction clutch assembly (6, 6') is in its first position, and in the first switching position the shift sleeve (5, 5') and the friction clutch assembly (6, 6') are each in their second position.
