DRIVE February 11, 2015
Source
A pneumatic tire (1) comprises a sidewall portion (2) provided in the outer surface (2s) with a serrated area (3) defined by radially-extending circumferentially-arranged ridges (4). The serrated area (3) has circumferentially-arranged groups (5) each including: at least one first ridge (4A) being straight over the entire length; and a plurality of second ridges (4B), circumferentially arranged side-by-side, and each provided with an irregular part (6) and otherwise being straight. In each of the ridge groups, the irregular parts (6) of the second ridges (4B) are gradually radially shifted so that the irregular parts are arranged along a line inclined with respect to a tire radial direction, and by the irregular parts (4B), an oblique pattern is formed in the ridge group (5).
