For example, a monitoring system for a child seat in a vehicle can comprise: a human machine interface unit, and a control unit, wherein the human machine interface unit comprises a sound system and a display unit, wherein the sound system is configured to capture a lock sound of a seat belt of the child seat, wherein the control unit is configured to identify if the lock sound corresponds to a predetermined safe locking sound of the seat belt, and wherein the control unit is configured to indicate in the display unit that the seat belt of the child seat is locked.
