"textContent": "Exhaust gas recirculation systems for internal combustion engines are known, comprising an exhaust gas recirculation channel (26, 68, 70) through which an exhaust manifold (30, 60, 62) of the internal combustion engine (10) is fluidically connected to an intake channel (24) of the internal combustion engine (10), a housing (40, 78) in the exhaust gas recirculation channel (26, 68, 70), on which an exhaust gas inlet (50, 80, 82) and an exhaust gas outlet (52, 84, 86) are formed, and a ball valve (38, 72) with a through passage opening (48, 88, 90), which is rotatably arranged in the housing (40, 78) between the exhaust gas inlet (50, 80, 82) and the exhaust gas outlet (52, 84, 86). In order to increase the possible amount of exhaust gas recirculated, it is proposed that the ball valve (38, 72) is driven at least at unchanged load conditions of the internal combustion engine (10) with a fixed speed ratio to an exhaust camshaft (20) for actuating exhaust valves (16) of the internal combustion engine (10).",
