The cable has a distal end to which a hook is secured, and the hook is engageable with the auxiliary engagement area of the trailer hitch. A retainer, in the form of a trigger, is movably mounted to the housing for movement between an engaged position, in which the retainer prevents outward movement of the cable relative to the housing, and a disengaged position in which the retainer allows outward movement of the cable relative to the housing. The cable is positioned within an internal passage defined by the bar rearwardly of the housing, and is positioned externally of the bar forwardly of the housing.",
