"textContent": "An engagement device 10 includes a piece 11 that is disposed rotatably about a rotating shaft 30 and rotates in conjunction the rotating shaft 30, a sleeve 12 that is disposed coaxially with the piece 11 and performs engagement with the piece 11 and release from the engagement with the piece 11 by shifting in an axial direction, a control unit (a motor generator MG, an actuator 15, a return spring 16, and an ECU 40) that controls the rotation of the piece 11 and the shifting of the sleeve 12 in the axial direction, and a one-way clutch 14 that is disposed on a power transmission path from the rotating shaft 30 to a base body 32 coupled to the sleeve 12 . The ECU 40 rotates the piece 11 in the idling direction of the one-way clutch 14 when performing engagement or release of the sleeve 12 with or from the piece 11. Consequently, durability of dog teeth 11a and 12a can be improved, and durability of the engagement device 10 can be improved.",
