METHOD FOR WARNING ROAD USERS OF POSSIBLE DANGEROUS AREAS CAUSED BY A VEHICLE PERFORMING A MANOEUVRE OR WHICH WANTS TO PERFORM A MANOEUVRE

The invention relates to a method and an arrangement for warning road users of potential hazard areas created by a vehicle that is performing or intends to perform a driving maneuver. A control device (8) is provided which queries the steering angle of the vehicle by means of at least one steering angle sensor (10), queries the direction of travel from a gear selector device (11), and cyclically determines from the steering angle and the direction of travel, with the aid of a steering model of the vehicle available to the control device (8), a traffic space that will be occupied in the future while maintaining the steering input within a predefinable time and speed. It is further provided that with the information thus obtained about the traffic space to be occupied in the future, at least one projection device (4.1, 4.2, 4.3, 4.4) is controlled in such a way that at least a portion of the traffic space to be occupied in the future is made visible through light projection onto the ground surface surrounding the vehicle.
