The invention relates to a vehicle seat (1) comprising a seat part (2) and a backrest (3), wherein the backrest (3) has at least one left-side backrest longitudinal support (4) extending in a backrest height direction, at least one central backrest longitudinal support (5) extending in a backrest height direction and at least one right-side backrest longitudinal support (6) extending in a backrest height direction, wherein the backrest longitudinal supports (4, 5, 6) are each connected in a lower end region (7, 8, 9) to the seat part (2) and/or a seat part frame (10) and have at least one cushioning element (44), wherein the backrest longitudinal supports (4, 5, 6) are articulated to the seat part (2) and/or the seat part frame (10) in their lower end regions (7, 8, 9) and are connected to one another by means of at least one elongated backrest cross-strut (12) arranged in an upper region (11) of the backrest (3), wherein a spacing (13) between at least two backrest longitudinal supports (4, 5, 6) is adjustable by a displacement of the at least one backrest cross-strut (12) along the backrest height direction in the upper region of the backrest.
