SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CONTACTLESS EXCHANGE OF POWER

A contactless power transfer system 100 is provided. The contactless power transfer system 100 includes a first power exchanging coil 110 configured to exchange power, a power mating coil 130 operatively coupled to a switching unit 140, and a controller 150 operatively coupled to the switching unit 140. The controller 150 is configured to control switching operations of the switching unit 140 to actively control a current in the power mating coil 130 to match an impedance of the first power exchanging coil 110 and enable the exchange of power.
