Apparatus and method for the fixation of a spoke

The invention relates to the field of devices for centering spoked wheels. More specifically, the invention relates to a device for fixing a wheel spoke during tensioning thereof. A device for fixing the spoke of a wheel during tensioning thereof comprises a clamping means (1) with a variable-width clamping gap (4) having a longitudinal axis L, in which a section of the spoke can be received, wherein by driving the clamping means (1) the clamping gap (4) can be reduced to such an extent that the section of the spoke can be fixed by the clamping means (1) in a force-locking and/or form-locking manner. A device for automated spoke lacing and/or centering of wheels, and/or for adjusting the tension of their spokes comprises a device according to the invention for fixing the spoke. A method for adjusting the tension of spokes of wheels, in which an automated rotation of a spoke nipple is performed to adjust the tension, is characterized in that before the automated rotation, a fixing of the spoke connected to the spoke nipple takes place in such a manner that the spoke no longer rotates, whereby the rotationally fixed spoke optionally remains movable in its axial direction.
