A pneumatic tyre tread in which a reinforcing part 6 is provided on frontal side walls 52, 53 of a block 5 of a tyre tread 1 in order to improve the performance on snow and the performance on ice, and a pneumatic tyre having such a tread, wherein angles T1 and T2 formed by the upper surface and the two frontal side walls provided with the reinforcing part 6 are both less than 90°.
