Traffic based control system
DRIVE
November 18, 2015
In a vehicle mounted system for aiding a driver the driver is notified via some alert device located in the vehicle. The alert device is in turn controlled by a processor unit that is fed with input signals from a forward facing sensor. The forward facing sensor can be a camera that can detect a change in traffic ahead of the vehicle such as traffic light shift from red to green. The forward facing sensor can also be a radar adapted to detect movement ahead of the vehicle or even a vehicle- to vehicle communication equipment. When the traffic situation ahead of the vehicle is about to change as determined by the processor unit the driver the processor unit sends out an alert signal.
