A glass run seal for a movable pane in a vehicle window aperture.

The invention relates to a glass run seal assembly (201; 301; 401) for a movable pane in a vehicle window aperture (105, 106). The glass run seal assembly comprises a first portion (410) having a generally U-shaped cross section defining a glass run channel having first and second legs (411, 412) with edges joined by a first base web (413), wherein at least the legs (411, 412) of the first portion (410) comprises elastomeric extrusions bonded to the base web (413). The glass run seal assembly further comprises a second portion (420) having a generally U-shaped cross section defining an attachment channel having first and second legs (421, 422) with edges joined by a second base web (423), wherein the legs (421, 422) and base web (423) of the second portion (420) comprises a thermoplastic polymeric structural material. Tthe first leg (421) of the second portion (420) has an edge remote from its base web (423), which edge is integral the base web (413) of the first portion (410), and the second leg (422) of the second portion (420) comprises a reinforcement (430) extending within the second leg (422) in the longitudinal extension thereof and providing structural support for at least one curved section of the glass run seal assembly (401).
