Source
A seat belt retractor for a safety belt (26) with a belt spool (2) onto which the safety belt is wound up during belt winding and from which the safety belt can be unwound during belt extraction, with a vehicle-sensitive locking device (23) which blocks belt extraction upon excessive acceleration or deceleration, wherein the rotation of the belt spool (2) via a second gear train (17, 19, 20) controls the movement of a second inhibiting device (21, 22), which prevents the activation of the vehicle-sensitive locking device (23) at the beginning of belt extraction during a defined belt extraction length.
