Electric parking brake

The invention relates to an electric parking brake device for a vehicle, in particular for a commercial vehicle. The electric parking brake device comprises an actuator device which is designed to actuate mechanical components of a wheel brake device; and a control device which electrically controls the actuator device; wherein the control device is configured to detect whether a battery disconnect switch has been actuated, and if the battery disconnect switch has been actuated, within a latency time after actuation of the battery disconnect switch, during which the actuator device is still electrically controllable, to initiate a partial braking action by means of the actuator device, such that a full braking effect of the electric parking brake is established in a delayed manner.
