  "textContent": "The invention relates to a composite control arm axle (1) for a motor vehicle, which has two longitudinal control arms (2, 3) and a torsion profile (4) connecting the longitudinal control arms (2, 3), as well as a method for manufacturing such a torsion profile (4). The torsion profile (4) is manufactured from a blank (8), which has a central section (5) and flanges (10, 11) that are widened at the ends relative to the central section (5). The central section (5) is formed into a U- or V-shaped profile and is open at the ends. The flanges (10, 11) of the blank (8) are formed into end sections (6, 7) adjoining the central section (5) with a closed hollow profile and are joined along their mutually adjacent longitudinal edges. In this process, the flanges (10, 11) are formed outward from the open side (12) of the central section (5) and are connected to one another, in particular welded, in a horizontal longitudinal plane HLE1 lying above the open side (12) of the central section (5). The central section (5) is single-walled, whereas the end sections (6, 7) have a hollow profile.",
