The beverage holder (1) consists of a fixed part (3) and a pivotable part (4). The fixed part (3) has the first rounded support surface (5) and the pivotable part (4) has the second rounded support surface (6), which is formed on the cover (7) of the pivotable part (4). The first rounded support surface (5) and the second rounded support surface (6) form a cone (8), which corresponds to the shape of the drinking vessel. The invention resides in that the cone (8) is formed in the outward direction from the beverage holder (1), whereby a support of the drinking vessel over the upper surface of the armrest (2) is enabled. The diameter of the first rounded support surface (5) of the fixed part (3) is smaller than the diameter of the second rounded support surface (6) of the pivotable part (4).",
