The device includes a device body (11) disposed under a dashboard (1), a combiner (12) which can be moved through an opening (1 a) formed in the dashboard between a use position and a housed position, a combiner moving mechanism (23) for moving the combiner (12) between the use position and the housed position, a shutter (24) which can be moved between a closing position and an escape position, and a shutter moving mechanism (25) for moving the shutter (24) to the escape position when the combiner (12) is moved to the use position and moving the shutter (24) to the closing position when the combiner (12) is moved to the housed position.
