Furthermore, the trim strip (2) should differ as little as possible in external appearance from non-illuminated trim strips. For this purpose, it is provided that a light gap (10) is formed between a profile strip (2) of the trim strip and the adjacent vehicle exterior skin (12), through which the light emitted by a light source provided on the rear side of the trim strip (2) can exit to the outside.",
