DRIVE
October 7, 2015
The invention relates to a transport hopper for the transport of hot goods, such as asphalt, bitumen and/or asphalt mixture, comprising a hopper bottom, two side walls (4), an end wall and a rear wall, wherein at least the side walls (4) are each formed from thermally decoupled metallic cover layers (2, 3), between which an insulation layer of low thermal conductivity is arranged. The invention also relates to an articulated tipper or trailer equipped with such a transport hopper. According to the invention, the cover layers (2, 3) are connected to one another via at least one thermally isolating and mechanically stabilizing spacer profile (5), wherein the insulation layer is arranged between the cover layers (2, 3) and the adjacent spacer profiles. The spacer profile (5) is of solid design and has at least two mutually spaced grooves (6, 6', 7, 7') running in the longitudinal direction of the spacer profile (5). The cover layers (2, 3) in turn each have at least one holding profile (8, 8') receiving the spacer profile (5), wherein the spacer profile (5) is connected to the cover layers (2, 3) in a form-locking manner, in that the holding profiles (8, 8') interlock with the grooves (6, 6', 7, 7') of the spacer profile (5).
