Method for monitoring the vehicle interior and the vehicle exterior

Method in a vehicle with an interior space camera arrangement and an exterior space camera arrangement, wherein at least one interior space camera (13, 14, 28) and at least one exterior space camera (11, 12, 15, 16, 17, 29) are provided for capturing a respective image stream in order to display the vehicle interior space and the vehicle exterior space, wherein the interior space camera (13, 14, 28) captures at least a portion of the vehicle interior space and the exterior space camera (11, 12, 15, 16, 17, 29) captures at least a portion of the vehicle exterior space. It is provided that the at least one interior space camera (13, 14, 28) and the at least one exterior space camera (11, 12, 15, 16, 17, 29) capture at least partial areas of the vehicle interior space and the vehicle exterior space and pass these to a display device (19), wherein the partial areas adjoin each other at least in part, preferably adjoin each other such that the display by means of the display device (19) on at least one screen (18, 18', 31) is carried out to scale and perspectively such that the display areas of the vehicle interior space and the vehicle exterior space are displayed at least at the adjoining parts without a recognizable change in scale and perspective.
