The invention relates to a device for damping a suspension upper part (1) in at least one spatial direction (X, Y, Z) relative to a suspension lower part (2) that can move relative thereto, wherein a spring device (3) acting between the suspension upper part (1) and the suspension lower part (2) is provided for damping, wherein an actuator (4) is provided, by which a force can be introduced bidirectionally in the direction of action of the spring device (3) into the device, wherein the actuator (4) can be controlled via a control device.
