March 18, 2026
The invention relates to a lighting device (100) for a motor vehicle headlight, comprising an optical body (1) and a plurality of light-conducting bodies (2), wherein the light-conducting bodies (2) with their light exit surfaces (2b) open into an optical body inlet surface (11) of the optical body (1) which is opposite to an optical body light exit surface (10) of the optical body (1). The light-conducting bodies (2) are arranged such that light exit surfaces (2b) of adjacent light-conducting bodies (2) have a spacing greater than zero relative to one another, so that a free area (12) results between two adjacent light-conducting bodies (2) on the optical body inlet surface (11). Furthermore, the lighting unit (101) comprises an additional optical device (200), wherein the additional optical device (200) has at least one light coupling region (201) as well as one or more light decoupling regions (202), wherein each light coupling region (201) is associated with at least one additional light source (250), and wherein at least a portion of the light coupled into the additional optical device (250) from an additional light source (250) via a light coupling region (201) propagates in the additional optical device (250) to the one or more light decoupling regions (202) and exits the additional optical device (200) there, and wherein at least one, preferably exactly one, light decoupling region (202) is arranged between two adjacent light-conducting bodies (2), such that light exiting from the light decoupling region (202) can enter the optical body (1) via the free area (12) between the two light-conducting bodies (2) and can propagate in this to the optical body light exit surface (10) of the optical body (1).
