IN-CYLINDER PRESSURE DETECTION DEVICE FOR INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE

Source
This invention determines whether or not an internal combustion engine is not performing combustion. If the determined result is that the internal combustion engine is not performing combustion, a maximum in-cylinder pressure P max during motoring is identified by an in-cylinder pressure sensor, and a crank angle ¸ Pmax corresponding to the maximum in-cylinder pressure P max is detected by a crank angle sensor. Further, a reference crank angle ¸ Pmaxtgt corresponding to the engine speed and the engine load factor is identified, and ¸ Pmax is corrected so as to become ¸ Pmaxtgt . Furthermore, the relation between a signal of the crank angle sensor and a crank angle (measured value) corresponding to the signal is corrected so that a measured value of the crank angle corresponding to P max becomes the post-correction crank angle.
