Fuel line assembly for motor vehicles, with two pipe sections (1, 2) and at least one filter device (3) arranged between the two pipe sections. Fuel is supplied to the filter device (3) via a first pipe section (1) and fuel is discharged from the filter device (3) via a second pipe section (2), wherein the filter device (3) has two operating states. In a first operating state of the filter device, the supplied fuel is filtered by means of at least one filter medium (8) of the filter device (3). After switching the filter device (3) to a second operating state, the fuel flows through the filter device (3) via at least one passage channel (7) without filtration.
