Bank card presence detection to avoid a wireless charger demagnetizing a bank card

The publication relates to a method for preventing demagnetization of a magnetically sensitive object placed on an inductive charger. It comprising detecting, by a first identification sensor (312) at a wireless charging transceiver (311), a foreign object (320); determining, by a processor (314) using information from the first identification sensor (312), whether the foreign object (320) is magnetically sensitive; and responsive to a determination that the foreign object (320) is magnetically sensitive, preventing the wireless charging transceiver (311) from operating.
