A carrier arrangement (10) for a trailer coupling (1) or a load carrier (L), comprising a load-bearing component (43) that includes a transverse member (11) and side members (12) connected to the transverse member (11), wherein the carrier arrangement (10) is configured for mounting on a rear end of a vehicle and has a bracket (15, 15') arranged on the transverse member (11) for a trailer coupling (1) or for a coupling part of a load carrier (L), wherein a load-bearing component (43) is formed from a sheet metal blank (40) that has been processed by forming at at least one location in order to form the load-bearing component (43). It is provided that the sheet metal blank (40) prior to forming has been subjected in regions to a hardening process and/or a softening process, so that the sheet metal blank (40), which has been already hardened in regions or has had its strength reduced by the softening process, has been formed into the at least one load-bearing component (43).
