The main object of the present invention is to provide a method of producing a coated active material capable of forming a coating layer while controlling damage to the active material surface. The present invention solves the problem by providing a method of producing a coated active material, the coated active material is provided with an active material and a coating layer containing a sulfide solid electrolyte, comprising the steps of: a preparation step of preparing a raw material composition containing the active material and the sulfide solid electrolyte, and a kneading step of performing a rotary and revolutionary kneading process for the raw material composition without using a crushing medium and forming the coating layer on the surface of the active material.
