VEGETABLE OIL BASED RUBBER CEMENT AND TIRE WITH FABRICATED TREAD

A cement for use with an uncured tread rubber strip is disclosed. The cement comprises vegetable oil, at least one conjugated diene based elastomer and a sulfur curative. The diene-based elastomer comprises at least one of polymers of at least one of isoprene and 1,3-butadiene and copolymer of styrene with at least one of isoprene and 1,3-butadiene. The sulfur curative comprises sulfur and at least one sulfur cure accelerator. Preferably, the vegetable oil comprises at least one of soybean oil, sunflower oil and canola oil.
