An industrial vehicle (10) which is equipped with an engine (19) and having an Eco-mode in which torque of the engine (19) is restricted includes an accelerator (29), an accelerator opening detector (30) that detects an opening of the accelerator (29), a vehicle speed detector (33) that detects a speed of the vehicle, an engine speed detector (35) that detects a speed of the engine (19), and a torque restriction releasing unit (32) which, when the torque of the engine (19) is restricted, if conditions that the opening of the accelerator (29) detected by the accelerator opening detector (30) is a first predetermined value (XA) or greater, that the vehicle speed detected by the vehicle speed detector (33) is a second predetermined value (YA) or smaller and that the engine speed detected by the engine speed detector (35) is a third predetermined value (Z) or smaller are satisfied, releases the torque restriction.
