The connector (4) is insertable into the fluid port (8) with the first mating surface (6) being the outer surface of at least a section of the connector (4), such that the first mating surface (6) of the connector (4) is positionable adjacent to the second mating surface (10) of the fluid port. The expansion device (18) is insertable into the connector (4) and is adapted for at least partially introducing a pressing force onto the connector (4) such that the first mating surface (6) is pressed onto the second mating surface (10) at least partially.
