The invention relates to a device for fastening a removable wheel comprising a hub (17) rotatable about an axis (1) to a frame (19), in particular of a wheelchair, said frame (19) comprising a housing (18) inside which at least part of said axis (1) is intended to be housed. According to the invention, such a device comprises means for modifying (10, 11, 101, 111) the perimeter of the outer contour of said axis (1).
