Braking system and method for curve support

The invention relates to a brake system for curve support in a commercial vehicle (100, 200, 300) comprising a driving mode switch, a number of brake systems, an electronic control unit, a drive motor, and an engine control. According to the invention, it is proposed that the electronic control unit is connected to a curve mode switch and is configured to activate a curve support mode when the electronic control unit receives from the driving mode switch a representative signal that the commercial vehicle is being operated in off-road mode, receives from the curve mode switch a signal that the curve support mode is requested, and receives from the engine control a signal that a drive command is being transmitted to the drive motor.
