The invention relates to a filter element (10) comprising a filter body (12) with a longitudinal axis (L), a first open or closed end disk (16) arranged on an end face (15), and a second end disk (18) arranged on the opposite end face (17), wherein the second end disk (18) has a sealing structure (24), by means of which upon installation of the filter element (10) in a housing, a region (119) between the second end disk (18) and a cover (110) of the housing (108) can be sealed off from an interior region (118) of the housing (108). The invention further relates to a filter system (100) for the interchangeable installation of such a filter element (10).
