Hydrostatic motor

The invention relates to a hydrostatic drive (2) configured as an adjustable machine with an adjustable displacement volume and operatively connected to an internal combustion engine (3), wherein the drive (2) in pump operation draws pressure medium from a container (9) via a suction side (S) and delivers it to a delivery side (P), and wherein the drive (2) in motor operation is configured as a hydraulic starter for starting the internal combustion engine (3), whereby pressure medium from a pressure medium accumulator (30) can be supplied to the drive (2) in motor operation on the suction side (S). The displacement volume adjustment device (60) is actuable by a control piston device (61) supplied with pressure medium from a supply pressure circuit (23). The drive (2) is provided with an auxiliary control piston device (80) which is in operative connection with the displacement volume adjustment device (60) for adjusting the displacement volume of the drive (2) and which can be acted upon directly by the pressure present in the pressure medium accumulator (30). By means of a connection of the auxiliary control piston device (80) with the pressure medium accumulator (30), the drive (2) is adjustable for starting the internal combustion engine (3) in the direction of an increase in displacement volume.
