Aerating valve for a fluid container

The invention relates to a ventilation valve for a liquid container (2), in particular for a fuel tank in a handheld work apparatus such as a chain saw, a cut-off saw, a brush cutter, a blower or the like. The ventilation valve (1) consists of a valve housing (5) as well as a valve member arranged in the valve housing (5), which controls a pressure equalization channel (16) that connects a container interior space (15) with the outside of the container. To protect against contamination, an air-permeable filter body (30) is held in the valve housing (5), wherein the filter body (30) covers the pressure equalization channel (16) and one side of the filter body (30) is oriented toward the container interior space (15). In order to ensure a fixing of the filter body (30) in the valve housing (5), it is provided that the filter body (30) is covered on the side oriented toward the container interior space (15) by a further filter element (33), which closes the opening of the valve housing (5) to the container interior space (15).
