The invention relates to an improved seating element for a seat, in particular a vehicle seat, comprising a deformable suspension layer (3) and at least one electrical track (2) configured to present a linear resistance varying as a function of the deformation of the suspension layer (3), the electrical track (2) being formed directly on the suspension layer (3) or within the suspension layer (3). The invention also relates to a seat comprising such a seating element for a seat.
