The invention relates to an air conditioning device for a vehicle seat with a spacing material (2) that forms at least a portion of an air distribution space (1), a top layer (4) covering the spacing material on the top side, a bottom layer (5) covering the spacing material on the underside opposite the top layer, which is substantially impermeable to air, wherein the top layer and the bottom layer are bonded to one another around the outer perimeter of the spacing material, an air supply opening (6) to the air distribution space and air outlet openings in the top layer for discharging air from the air distribution space. The top layer and the bottom layer are bonded to one another at least around the outer perimeter via a frame-shaped insert (3).
