Connecting rod for a two-stage variable compression

The invention relates to a connecting rod (1) for a two-stage variable compression of an internal combustion engine. In this case, a piston pin bearing eye (2) is designed as an eccentric (3) which can be pivoted in a first direction of rotation (5) by means of a first hydraulic displacement chamber (4) and can be pivoted in a second direction of rotation (7) by means of a second hydraulic displacement chamber (6). A hydraulic valve (8) is arranged in the connecting rod (1), which has a hydraulic supply connection (P) to which a hydraulic pressure is applied. The pressure can displace a hydraulic piston (9) against the force of a preloaded spring (10). In a low pressure range (12), the hydraulic piston (9) remains unchanged in a stable low-pressure position due to the preloading of the spring (10). In this low-pressure position, the supply connection (P) is hydraulically connected to the first displacement chamber (4). In a high pressure range (14), the hydraulic piston (9) remains unchanged against a stop (16) due to the pressure applied to a piston surface (11, 15). In this stable high-pressure position, the supply connection (P) is connected to the second displacement chamber (6).
