Belt frame for a vehicle seat for arrangement in a vehicle, wherein the belt frame has a vertical support, wherein a component of a belt retention system is arranged on the belt frame, wherein a retention member is arranged with a first end of the retention member on the vertical support, wherein the retention member extends from the vertical support in a direction opposite to the seating direction away from the vertical support, wherein the retention member is designed to be arrangeable with a second end on a vehicle roof and/or a vehicle pillar of the vehicle.
