METHOD FOR FILLING A PRISMATIC BATTERY CELL

The disclosure relates to a method for filling a prismatic battery cell (1) with electrolyte (6), the method comprising the following process steps: - Providing a filling device (11) comprising: + a receiving container (12) with a container interior space (13) for receiving the battery cell (1); + a lid (16); + a gas passage opening (18) arranged in the container housing (14) or in the lid (16); + a vacuum pump (19); + a filling lance (22) arranged in the container housing (14); - Providing the battery cell (1) with a battery cell housing (2) and a battery cell interior space (3) formed therein, as well as a filling recess (9) arranged in the battery cell housing (2); - Inserting the battery cell (1) into the container interior space (13); - Gas-tight closing of the insertion opening (15) of the receiving container (12) by means of the lid (16); - Establishing a container interior space pressure in the container interior space (13); - Bringing the filling lance (22) and the filling recess (9) of the battery cell (1) into contact with each other and pressing them together; - Introducing a predetermined quantity of the electrolyte (6) into the battery cell interior space (3) by means of the filling lance (22).
