MOBILE STAND FOR AN OBJECT TO BE HELD

The invention relates to a mobile stand (10) for holding an object, comprising a roller carrier (20) with three or more swivel casters, a receptacle (12) by which the object to be held can be coupled to the mobile stand (10), a locking device (30), and an actuation device (40) with an actuation element (42), which is connected to the locking device (30) and configured to reversibly move the locking device (30) between a driving position in which the swivel casters (22) are not locked and a braking position in which the swivel casters (22) are locked upon actuation of the actuation element (42). According to the invention, the locking device (30) has, for each of the three or more swivel casters (22), a horizontally oriented annular brake structure (32) with a brake surface (34) running around an inner edge of the annular brake structure (32), which is centered on a vertical pivot axis (24) of its associated swivel caster (22), wherein the annular brake structures (32) undergo a vertical displacement upon actuation of the actuation element (42), in which their brake surfaces (34) have no contact with their associated swivel caster (22) in the driving position and touch a tread surface (26) of their associated swivel caster (22) in the braking position and, by applying a holding force to the tread surface (26), prevent rolling movements and pivoting movements of the swivel caster (22).
