A battery pack (1) for an electrical device contains battery cells (4a, 4b), each of which has a cell casing, as well as a connecting plate (6), which electrically connects a first electrode area (5a, 5b) on the cell casing of a first battery cell (4a, 4b) with a second electrode area (5a, 5b) on the cell casing of a second battery cell (4a, 4b). The connecting plate (6) is welded to the cell casing of the first battery cell (4a, 4b) at at least two welding areas (8a, 8b, 9a, 9b, 14a-14d, 18a, 18b, 19a, 19b, 21a, 21b, 22a, 22b, 24a-24d, 29a-29d) and has a slot arrangement (31), wherein for each pair of welding areas (8a, 8b, 9a, 9b, 14a-14d, 18a, 18b, 19a, 19b, 21a, 21b, 22a, 22b, 24a-24d, 29a-29d), the welding areas (8a, 8b, 9a, 9b, 14a-14d, 18a, 18b, 19a, 19b, 21a, 21b, 22a, 22b, 24a-24d, 29a-29d) are located on opposite sides of a slot (7a, 7b, 15a-15d, 16a, 16b, 17a, 17b, 23, 23a-23d, 28a-28f) of the slot arrangement (31).
