SEPARATOR FOR RECHARGEABLE BATTERY AND RECHARGEABLE BATTERY INCLUDING THE SAME

The present disclosure relates to a separator for a rechargeable battery, and a rechargeable battery including the separator. The separator includes a porous substrate and a coating layer located on at least one surface of the porous substrate. The coating layer includes a crosslinked product of a binder and a crosslinking agent, and a filler. The binder includes a (meth)acrylic binder including a first structural unit derived from (meth)acrylic acid, (meth)acrylate, or a salt thereof, a second structural unit derived from hydroxyalkyl (meth)acrylate, and a third structural unit derived from (meth)acrylamidosulfonic acid or a salt thereof. The crosslinking agent includes an aziridine-based crosslinking agent. The filler includes a mixture of a first filler and a second filler, the first filler is an inorganic filler, and the second filler is a fibrous filler.
