The present application discloses an energy storage module control method, an apparatus, a device, a system, and an energy storage module, relating to the field of energy storage technologies. The control method for the energy storage module includes: obtaining a bus current of the energy storage module and an available current of multiple battery branches connected in parallel within the energy storage module; and controlling a target quantity of battery branches among the multiple battery branches to be put into use based on the bus current and the available current of each battery branch. In the embodiments of the present application, the target quantity of battery branches to be put into use among the multiple battery branches is controlled based on the bus current and the available current of each battery branch. This allows the bus current to be actively allocated to the target quantity of battery branches, achieving active allocation of the bus current to reduce current ripple in the battery branches. Additionally, this allows each battery branch put into use to operate close to its available current condition, thereby improving the utilization rate of the battery branches.
